Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens by tomeqq Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens by tomeqq
Thank you all for the Daily Deviation :).

This icon was made for training purposes about two years ago.
I've never actually made anything so complicated back then, so it was a huge test for me. All in all, the final result is rather satysfying, although far from perfect.

Made in Photoshop CS4 with a little help of Wacom tablet.

Edit: I had so many people complaining about the Nikon logo, that I finally decided to fix it.

Here's the lens-only version:

The proportions are actually great, the one thing that seems off to me is the font you used for the Nikon logo on the pop-up flash. Being a Sony user though, I may be off.
Speaking of fonts, what's the one you used for the subtitle?

I already fixed the logo.

As for the text font - it's Museo.

Me: *browsing Deviantart*
My niece: Sarah what's that?
Me: *stunned* ... That's a camera, sweetie.
Niece: Oh, that thing on the iPad?
Me: TT_TT I weep for humanity...

Seriously, though. That camera is a thing of beauty.

Very nice work, almost looks like the real thing. Note: The "Nikon" name lettering should be a little wider and thicker though.

I'm not so good with Illustrator, but then again, I thought I wasn't so good with Photoshop when I started this and look what came out.

Thanks for your comment ;).

I thought you had just taken a photo of your camera (and was thinking eh, what the hell?!) but then I read the description, there is no way I could make something that detailed in photoshop, it looks so real! Wow.
